Proposed site development along a daylighted and restored Garrison Springs Creek
Project Overview:
The Cove at Chambers Bay is a master-planned residential community located in the historic town of Steilacoom, Washington. This 71.5-acre property, formerly home to a paper mill, sits along the shores of Chambers Bay in scenic Pierce County. The site presents a rare opportunity to transform a challenged former industrial area, rich with history, into a vibrant, sustainable community.
At the heart of the redevelopment is the restoration of Garrison Springs Creek, a natural waterway that had been buried beneath the mill for decades. This effort reflects our deep commitment to environmental stewardship and reconnecting the landscape with its natural roots.
Owned and developed by the Bellar family, longtime members of the Seattle-area community, the Cove at Chambers Bay is envisioned as a legacy project, one that thoughtfully blends nature, history, and neighborhood. This project represents the family’s commitment to restoring the land, enriching the community, and creating public access to one of Washington’s most beautiful waterfront locations.
This project will deliver over 50 acres of green space and amenities that were previously not available to the public through redevelopment.
